I'll help with the details.

There is no such thing as a silly question. Here is the path we will walk together, one clear step at a time.

01

Start with a conversation

We will talk about your goals, timing, preferred areas, and what feels comfortable—no pressure and no commitment.

02

Understand your budget

A trusted lender can explain your buying power, estimated monthly payment, down-payment choices, and closing costs.

03

Find the right home

We will compare homes, land, locations, property taxes, utilities, and the details that affect everyday life.

04

Write a confident offer

I will explain the price, timeline, contingencies, and options so your offer reflects both the market and your comfort level.

05

Inspect and prepare

We will navigate inspections, the appraisal, repair conversations, paperwork, and final loan steps together.

06

Get your keys

After the final walkthrough and closing, the home is yours—and I am still here whenever questions come up.

Good to know

You may not need 20% down.

Loan and assistance options vary by buyer. A qualified lender can help you compare programs and understand eligibility, costs, and tradeoffs before you decide.

Text Melissa a first-home question
When should I talk with a lender?

Before seriously touring homes. A lender can help you set a comfortable range and prepare you to make an offer when the right home appears.

Do I need perfect credit?

Not necessarily. Loan requirements vary, and a lender can review your situation and suggest practical next steps without guessing.

What does it cost to work with a buyer's agent?

Compensation can vary by property and agreement. I will explain it clearly before you sign anything so you can make an informed decision.

My favorite corners of Oregon

Meet Melissa

Real estate,
from the heart.

I'm Melissa, an Oregon real estate broker with More Realty. I help first-time homebuyers, animal lovers, and people searching for more peace, privacy, and room to live the life they envision.

My passion for real estate is deeply personal. I purchased my first home in 2011, and over the years, I watched it grow significantly in value. When I purchased my second home, I chose to keep that first property and turn it into a rental. I still own it today.

That first home became much more than a place to live. It opened doors, created opportunities, and became a valuable source of stability for my family. During difficult times, I was able to use the equity I had built to help carry me through. That experience showed me firsthand how homeownership can become a powerful long-term asset—not only financially, but also as a source of security and possibility.

It's one of the reasons I care so much about helping first-time buyers. I understand that buying a home can feel overwhelming, and I believe everyone deserves patient guidance, honest answers, and the space to make decisions with confidence. There is no such thing as a silly question, and you never have to know everything before getting started.

I especially love helping clients explore Oregon's rural communities and find homes with land, privacy, and room for horses, animals, gardens, or big future plans. Some of my favorite areas include Sandy, Damascus, Boring, Mt. Angel, Woodburn, Silverton, Molalla, Estacada, and Eagle Creek.

My approach is practical, personal, and never pushy. Whether you are preparing to purchase your first home, looking for a peaceful place outside the city, or searching for property that better fits your life, I'll help you understand your options and feel supported at every step.

Let's find a home that can open doors for you, too.
